Superba™ krill oil is an important source of phospholipids, omega-3 and astaxanthin, which is why it is recommended for the reduction of cardiovascular risk, improvement of the omega-3 index in plasma, improvement of the fatty liver lipid profile. It is also recommended to reinforce visual and cerebral structures and to improve and prevent joint disorders.

Sea buckthorn berries are rich in palmitoleic acid, an omega-7 monounsaturated fatty acid. Omegia™ is the name of the sea buckthorn oil marketed by PUREDIA with more than 30% omega-7 that is extracted from the fruits and seeds using CO2 -supercritical, which ensures that the delicate essence of sea buckthorn is maintained in every drop of oil. Palmitoleic acid regenerates the mucous membranes of the body (digestive, genito-urinary, oral and ocular), helps control metabolic syndrome and reduces chronic inflammation.

Lutein

Lutein is a natural antioxidant that helps filter blue light and protects the eyes from the sun's rays. Lutein accumulates in the retina from the time we are in the womb and throughout our lives and helps protect our eyes from oxidative damage caused by the sun. Lutein is often offered together with zeaxanthin in the form of carotenoid complexes.

Astaxanthin

Astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant that belongs to the carotenoid family that gives the red color to the shells of crustaceans such as krill or prawns.
Astaxanthin currently on the market comes from the marine microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis.
At the antioxidant level, astaxanthin is 10 times more powerful than vitamin C, 14 times more powerful than vitamin E and 54 times more powerful than other beta-carotene.
Astaxanthin acts as a shield to protect us from eye degenerative disorders such as cataracts, macular degeneration, and venous and arterial occlusions of the retinal vessels. In addition, it prevents light-induced damage and oxidation of the photoreceptor and ganglion cells of the retina, as well as light-induced damage such as damage to the inner layers of optic nerve neurons.
